The switchable output section can be used to tailor the amp to the situation, scaling down from 30 to 15 or 7 Watts. The sheer range of tones that can be dialed in from just six controls is nothing short of jawdropping whilst the quartet of EL84 valves convey their own crisp character, breaking up into rich overdrive when pushed to the limit. The TH30 has proved to be one of the most popular heads in the Orange range, and with good reason. The Clean channel delivers sweet, crystalline cleans, right up to the point of breakup, whilst the Dirty channel remains unerringly focussed, steeped in complex harmonic overtones even at maximum gain settings. Fine-tuning your distorted tones has never been easier or more rewarding. The Dirty channel features the same powerful Shape control first seen on our Thunderverb series, sweeping the midrange from scooped to boosted.
ORANGE TH30 SERIES
I couldn't tell the difference in most of the profiles, except in the metal ones in which I noticed a little compression.With jangly cleans and high gain filth coexisting in perfect harmony, TH Series amplifiers excel whatever the situation. Orange TH30 Thunder 30W Head, Orange Overview The Orange Thunder 30 is an Orange head thats a cross between the classic Rocker 30 and the Thunderverb series.The Thunder 30 is loaded with EL84 valves to provide 30-Watts of all-valve power. I recommend using them with cabinet simulations or with real cabs. I made many profiles with different settings: 2x clean (for me, they are awesome), 3x crunch-rock (I usually put a tubescreamer before the preamp) and 2x Metal (TH30 Dirty channel allows you to get dark high gain tones). I am considering using these profiles in my next shows. Surprisingly, the quality of the profiles is much better than I expected, so I decided to share it. That's the amp I use on most of our live shows, and I tried to make some versatile profiles for practise or reharshal.
A few weeks ago I made some profiles from my Orange TH30. Hi there, I am currently having to make a difficult decision between buying the Orange TH30 Combo or the Blackstar HT5 Combo.
